When we took the ATIS of Dublin last week shortly before starting our descent, we heard “CAVOK, wind calm”. We thought that we misunderstood, or that the ATIS was broken, or that we were having problems with our VHF receiver. But no. The weather was really fabulous ! 😎

These three pictures have been taken during the descent towards Luxembourg, only a few minutes appart from eachother. This shows how the sky can change rapidly and drasticly when you fly. I will never get tired of this view!
French Alps
One of the most amazing approaches I have ever flown. Downwind leg is just above the mountains. A few minutes later, we are established on final. Still have to overfly these snow covered slopes before diving into the valley on a 4 degree glidepath. Hard to believe that somewhere in this valley, below this thick…
